ACcess To Inclusive Vocational and Educational Training envirnments

Following the recommendation of the European Disability Strategy 2010-20, the ACTI-VET project aims at supporting inclusion of people with disabilities in the labour market through the development of specific tools for the professionals that are in charge of delivering and implementing WBL programmes for people with disabilities.
ACTI-VET provides a strategy for guaranteeing a stronger access of people with disabilities to employment, thanks to the development of tailor-made educational and training pathways that respond directly to their specific needs and expectations.

The project develops the following intellectual outputs:

  • ACTI(n)VATE - Get in action and build your VETwork A multimedia resource that provides a transnational insight on the situation of WBL for individuals with disabilities across partner countries

  • MY COACH - Research and Curriculum Programme development for pro-inclusion in-company coaches. A training programme for in-company tutors/mentors working with apprentices/trainees with disabilities

  • PARTICIPACTION - A pilot training programme involving 30 trainers and 90 users across the consortium

  • ACTIONBOOK - A handbook containing guidelines for the recognition and validation of informal and non-formal learning acquired within the framework of WBL schemes by people with disabilities.

The project is implemented by a transnational partnership consisting of 9 partners from 6 EU countries (Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria and Poland).
The project consortium gathers organizations with a high-level expertise in the management and implementation of EU projects in the VET sector and other VET organizations that have a long experience in delivering training courses and career counselling for individuals with disabilities.
